The Garden Centre was our theme in aistear this month. 🪴🌷🌻🌼⚘🌱
Senior infants got to go on their 1st school tour.
We travelled to Sligo IT on a coach and took part in lots of fun activities!
We dressed up as some of our favourite characters today.. Can you guess who we are?!
As part of our work towards getting an Active Flag for our school Mrs Gillogley and Edel organised a week of sporting activities for all classes.
These included tennis, soccer, basketball, dancing, orienteering, skipping activities and playground games.
Thanks to Mr Higgins and the 5th class pupils for looking after the playground games and soccer, to Edel for the skipping activities, to Mr O Meara for the basketball, Ms Kerins for Sean Nos Dancing.
We all really enjoyed being active and children kept a diary of the activities we did in school and at home.
Summer is here!!! Our theme this month in Aistear is the campsite. We have a lovely teepee in our role-playing area where we can relax and read.
Our bbq and picnic table are perfect for when we all get hungry!!
Tall Towers Challenge 🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼
The children chose a material to make their tower out of from a selection of plastic cups , wooden blocks, lego and magsnaps.
The challenge was to build a tower that could stand alone and possibly hold something on top also.
Here are a selection of the constructions we made from our chosen materials.
