North West Hospice Fundraiser
Thanks to all who supported our recent fundraiser.
Robyn Curley McManus presenting the cheque to Ursula Smullen of North West Hospice and as Dorothy and her pals from the Wizard of Oz for the Halloween Fancy Dress Day when we raised the funds.
Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you all for your fantastic support during our recent Book Fair. Despite the circumstances, the sales were incredibly high & with 60% commission for our school, we now have over €1000 to spend on class novels in the Scholastic shop!
Mid-Term Break
Wishing all our staff and students a happy and safe Halloween. Enjoy the break.
Our Superhaireo 💇🏻♀️
Lauren Mooney in 3rd class donated her 16” long hair to the Little Princess Trust last week. As you can see from the photos her hair was so so long. We think she is absolutely brilliant and such a generous thing to do this for this wonderful charity. Lauren’s support allows the charity to give hair and hope to children and young people by providing wigs and funding vital research into children’s cancer. Well done Lauren you are a super star 💫 💫💫💫
Congratulations Daniel
A huge well done to our First Class pupil Daniel who won this rosette in Cavan for horseriding at the weekend.
Congratulations Ella
Congratulations to our sixth class pupil Ella Aldridge on winning the Young Player of the Year award for Owenmore Gaels. We are so proud of you!
Mass for the opening of the school year
We were delighted to be able to hold an ourdoor mass to start another school year here at Scoil Mhuire agus Iosaf. Thank you to Fr. Pat and to all staff and students for making it such a memorable morning.
School Photos
Please note the school photographs will take place on the 2nd of December.
In order to minimise contact, we have decided that only siblings of pupils in Junior Infants and Sixth Class can avail of a family photograph. All other pupils in the school can avail of an individual and class photograph. If there are siblings of children in Junior Infants or Sixth in School A, the parents need to bring them to School B at 10am on the morning of the photographs. They will be met at the school gate, where the children will be escorted by a staff member to get their photograph taken and following the photograph escorted back to the school gate.
2nd Class write letters to residents of Summerville Nursing Home
Well done to all the pupils of 2nd class for such a kind gesture in writing letters to the residents of Summerville Nursing Home.
Receiving the letters will have brightened up someone’s day.
The pupils were also delighted to have received a response!
